Michael Makarius

Michael Makarius is an experienced business advisor who specializes in working with small to mid-sized companies. He offers a range of services to clients depending on the company’s size and needs. Unlike many consultants, Michael prefers to take a holistic approach to working with clients, combining strategic and financial decision making in the planning process. When it is both beneficial and feasible, he remains engaged with clients; working with them to execute on the plan rather than stepping away once the strategies have been developed.

From 2004 through 2009, Michael worked with Schlossberg:Flynn, a boutique business advisory firm. While there, he helped numerous companies develop corporate growth/turnaround strategies, raise capital, and negotiate strategic alliances. Michael maintains a strong relationship with Schlossberg:Flynn and continues to work with them as a consultant. Michael holds a Bachelors Degree in Linguistics from New York University, a Masters Degree in Finance from Zicklin School of Business, and a Juris Doctorate from Brooklyn Law School. He has written articles on business planning, financing small businesses, and current legal issues for a number of online publishers including PaPers NYC and the Online Legal Review.
